About Smart Specs Check

An independent, UK-built answer to two questions no manufacturer answers together: will my prescription work in these smart glasses, and can I actually buy them where I live?

Why it exists

Every maker publishes its prescription limits in a different place, in a different format, and sometimes with different numbers on different pages. Some state a total-power limit, some sphere and cylinder separately, some nothing at all. Availability differs by country and changes without notice, and the most-searched model of 2026 has had its UK launch paused since January with no date. Prescription wearers were left to piece it together from forum threads.

This site collects every published figure with its source and date, applies each maker's own arithmetic, and tells you plainly whether your numbers fall inside or outside the published range, then whether the pair is on sale in your country and for how much.

How it stays honest

The methodology explains the source tiers, the algorithm, the freshness rules and the tests the code must pass before every build. The sources page lists every URL. The changelog records every change. Some retailer links are affiliate links, each labelled "Ad"; the affiliate disclosure explains why that cannot change a result.
