Affiliate disclosure

Some links to retailers on this site are affiliate links. If you buy after following one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Every such link is labelled Ad next to the link and carries a "sponsored" attribute, so that you and search engines can tell them apart from plain links.

What commission does not change

• A prescription range is only ever the manufacturer's, a named partner's or a named optical retailer's published figure, with its source and date.
• A market status only changes when a manufacturer or retailer page changes.
• Results are ordered by fit tier, then by whether the product is on sale in your country, then by list price. Whether a retailer pays commission is not an input.
• Opticians and shops with no affiliate programme are listed on the same footing as those with one. Several of the most useful UK opticians for these products have no programme at all and are listed anyway.

Programmes

Retailer links may go through Awin (for example Vision Express, Lensology, Currys), CJ, Impact, FlexOffers, Shopify Collabs or the retailer's own programme. Some programme applications are pending; a link is only marked "Ad" once it is actually an affiliate link. The dataset behind the site records the network per retailer link, and the label is generated from that record.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Amazon prices are never shown on this site; where an Amazon link appears it says "See price on Amazon", because Amazon only allows live prices through an API this site does not yet qualify for and a stale price would mislead you.

Prices

Every price from any other retailer carries the date it was checked. If that date is more than 45 days old the row is flagged in the tracker.

Advertising

There are currently no display adverts. If they are added, they will appear only on results and guide pages, never on the step where you enter a prescription, and only after a consent banner with an equally easy "reject all" option.
