Prescription support: every published route

Each route has its own verification date below. A recent check of one source does not re-verify the other routes or prices.

A route is one way of getting corrected vision in these glasses. Each row keeps a provider's limits and source separate; the checker considers passing official routes for your country first. Figures come from the cited manufacturer or lens provider, including independent providers. A provider publishing its service does not establish manufacturer endorsement. About source labels.

Meta / EssilorLuxottica (at point of purchase): notes

Prescription chosen at purchase only: lenses are bonded at the factory and cannot be swapped later.

Lens price: from $200 (Rx add-on; total $999 in the US. In Canada the prescription configurator quotes CA$1,439 (CA$290 more than the frame). Clear-to-grey Transitions with AR coating only).

Lead time: 35–56 days.

Lens options: transitions, polycarbonate only.

Meta's retail FAQ, read 18 October 2026: prescription can only be added at the point of purchase, in single-vision polycarbonate lenses (so progressive or varifocal lenses are not offered), “up to a total power of -4.00 to +4.00D (defined as SPH+CYL) and up to 4D of CYL”. Meta's prescription page (read 18 October 2026) says the same: “The supported range is -4.00 to +4.00 SPH+CYL, single vision only” and progressive lenses are not supported; Meta's US retail-demo spec page and its UK, US and Canadian product pages give “-4.00 to +4.00 total power”. Since 23 September 2026 meta.com sells the Display online in the US, and on 18 October 2026 the US and Canadian store pages offered a 'Shop prescription' option, quoting $999 in the US and CA$1,439 in Canada with prescription lenses. Meta's help centre (read 18 October 2026) still says prescription purchases need an in-store demo and fitting at participating certified retailers, and the October 2025 retail FAQ and Verizon still describe an in-person fitting; Meta's prescription page gives five to eight weeks' delivery for Display prescription orders. Lensology (UK) explicitly cannot reglaze this model. Out-of-range or varifocal wearers: contact lenses are the only route. Re-read on 28 October 2026: Meta's US product page still offers 'Shop prescription' and gives “-4.00 to +4.00 total power”, and its prescription page gives the same range with five to eight weeks' delivery.

This tool compares your prescription with published manufacturer or lens-provider ranges. It is not optical advice and does not replace a dispensing optician. Use a current prescription and ask your dispensing practitioner to confirm the applicable prescription-age and supervision requirements. In the UK, prescription spectacles for anyone under 16, or registered sight impaired or severely sight impaired, must be supplied by or under the supervision of a registered practitioner.

Before you order

Ask the provider to confirm your exact model and frame variant, prescription, lens type, fitting requirements, total price and warranty terms. A published power range is only part of that check.

Questions people ask about Meta Ray-Ban Display

Can you put prescription lenses in Meta Ray-Ban Display?

Yes, by one published route: Meta / EssilorLuxottica (at point of purchase): lenses glazed into the frame (US, CA). Limits are listed above where verified; missing limits require provider confirmation.

What prescription range is published for Meta Ray-Ban Display?

The widest official route publishes -4.00 to +4.00. Meta / EssilorLuxottica (at point of purchase) states -4.00 to +4.00 (total power (SPH + CYL), cylinder up to 4.00), verified 2026-10-28. Where the rule is total power, sphere and cylinder are added together before comparing.

Is astigmatism (cylinder) supported on Meta Ray-Ban Display?

Yes, up to 4.00 of cylinder via Meta / EssilorLuxottica (at point of purchase) (verified 2026-10-28).

Are varifocal (progressive) lenses available for Meta Ray-Ban Display?

No. Every published route is single vision only. Ask an optician about the model’s viewing distance and your reading needs.

Is Meta Ray-Ban Display available in the UK?

On sale as of 2026-10-28. List price from £749. On sale in the UK from 23 September 2026 (date of Meta's post; Vision Express says 'launches on 24 September') at £749, which includes the Meta Neural Band (listed in the box on Meta's UK product page), online at meta.com/gb and in London retail. Meta's UK product page lists the -4.00 to +4.00 total-power range but, unlike the US and Canadian pages, has no prescription option (read 18 October 2026); Meta says select UK retail locations 'will support prescription' but has not named them, and no UK prescription price or lead time is published. Vision Express lists the Display at £749 with a 'Book a demo' button, online and at Oxford Street, and no prescription option (read 18 October 2026). Earlier pause: 6 January 2026. Until Meta names a UK store that takes prescription orders, the checker shows no UK prescription route for this model.

Can I add prescription lenses later?

No. The lenses are bonded at the factory, so the prescription must be chosen at purchase and cannot be swapped afterwards.
